One of the upsides of my guiding business is meeting some interesting individuals. One such guy is Vince Cacciottoli from Portland. Vince and I hooked up through the website last year and then he booked a bull trout trip with me this past spring. We enjoyed each others company and decided to get together again on one of his trips to OR.

We had a classic evening with a sunset to die for and fishing almost as good. If my count is correct, we caught 5 browns from 4-8 LB.+ and probably another 3-4 good strikes that didn't hook up. We were targeting browns that had their hearts set on the kokanee schools that will start to move up this time of year. It was a blast! I think this estimated 5-6 Lb. brown was Vince's biggest brown to date. My 8 LB.+ brown was a beautiful fish! Both were released to expand their waist lines.

We hit it again the next morning but didn't have the same success as the night before.
