It wasn’t looking like I wouldn’t have something for the site this week. I have been down in Southern California to drop off the 26 LB. monster hookjaw brown caught by Adam Konrad this past Spring and then visit with the kids. My guys will have it ready for him sometime in Nov. This is a special fish and will make a spectacular mount....check back by the end of Nov. for photos of this IGFA line class World Record Brown!
I got a FB message this evening from TTG supporter, Ken Cluff, after his first day out on Pend Oreille with his son, Braden. Ken told me he had a shot at getting up there in Oct. for the first time since 1998. His son was with him and one of his buddies that lives there would be joining him.
Ken and Braden were out in his 17 foot Lund and had a decent day when a little weather came in. He said water temps had dropped down to 55 and they had a little wind, rain and a mostly cloudy day......just what the DR. ordered! He said they hit (4) kams for the day from 7 to near 12 LB. He was pulling the standard Lyman and Apexes off the rigger at 30 feet and then hit his best rainbow on the Frisky Jenny Raider off the boards.
They were working from off the mouth of the Clark Fork up to Deadman Pt. and found some koke balls 300-400 yards out from the Monarchs.
Tomorrow they will be out with Ken Hayes from Seagull Charters.....should be an interesting day!
In two weeks, Eric and I will be up there for a week......I can’t wait!!
Screamin’ Drags,
Rick
