Hey Rick this is Randy Jackson. Here is my report on the Crescent Lake trip
we just took.
I went to Crescent Lake this past weekend with my friend Ryan. We fished
four days in weather that varied from snow and heavy winds to sun and dead
calm water. The bite turned on and off as often as the weather.
We managed only six browns with the largest going 3.5 lbs. The lake trout
bite was a bit better with 11 landed. The most notable being 15.5, 16.5, 21,
24.5, and 25 pounds. The 25 pounder was my PB and the 24.5 pounder was
Ryan's PB. The 25 was easily the most power fresh water fish I have ever
fought making several 60 to 80 foot runs before shooting straight up out of
the water on to the swim step before being netted. Truly a trip to remember.
All fish were released to fight another day.
