Hey Rick......here is a quick report. A few weeks ago I and popped my biggest brown to date on a custom painted F-13 Rapala!

Conditions were less than perfect for "trophy trout weather" considering it was blue bird skies and flat water. The big hen hit my toplined Rapala, set back 280', right at high noon!!! She had so much fight in her I thought for sure I had my first 10# brown on its way to the boat!

As soon as I saw the silver hen under the boat, I realized that the fish would maybe go 8 or 9 pounds because it was a bit skinny. Nonetheless, the brown fought better than the 34" laker I popped earlier that morning! I was on a solo mission this time, just me and my pup (yellow lab named Wade) so netting the fish was a bit hectic as I didn't want to lose my PB brown. All said and done, I got the fish in the boat, took measurements, snapped a couple pics, and then released the big hen back into the clear cold water to grow even bigger.

She ended up weighing in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 27-1/2' long. Attached is a couple pictures and the release video. All in all it was a good solo fishing trip for this brown trout freak!
