On 6/6/07 Canadian Adam Konrad landed a MONSTER of a trout. This trout was beyond comprehension. When the scales bottomed out at 43.6 pounds, Adam knew his quest for the world record had finally come to fruition. Caught on the Lake Diefenbaker system, the monster was 38.5" long and sports a ridiculous 34" girth. The fish was weighed on a certified scale and the IGFA application is currently in process.
TTG immediately worked out an exclusivity deal with Konrad to help him promote his catch to the world. The fish was caught on a Mepps Syclops spoon and ANDE line. The rod was a Rhino Indestructible and the reel was an ABU Garcia Cardinal 102, (originally incorrectly reported as an ambassador) reel. The fish was landed on six pound test...an incredible feat in itself! Look for an article penned by Adam and twin brother Sean on TTG in the upcoming days that will detail this amazing catch. In the mean time, feast your eyes on these pics!
